Coffee Brewing Crisis

For all those with an interest in  coffee, that includes all coffee drinkers and everyone in the accommodation and hospitality sectors.  Coffee’s Brewing Crisis will look at the impact of the climate crisis on small coffee farmers, focussing  on Ethiopia and Kenya.  

‘If we think that somehow our coffee will not be impacted by global warming, we need to think  again. It already is,’ says Joe Human who will be giving the talk. After looking at the unfolding crisis,  he will go on to consider how members of coffee cooperatives who are able to sell their coffee into  the Fairtrade market have benefitted from a programme which has helped them adapt and build  resilience and will also consider how the lessons learned from this programme have much wider  relevance for coffee farmers everywhere.
