A ‘Woodland’ Gathering 

Join us for a gathering in our newly planted Community Woodland. It’s between the BMX track, the Hospital and the Crosthwaite Road Car Park. 

We will be checking the health of the five hundred trees we have planted so far and informally make some plans for the future of this woodland plantation. We have daffodils, cowslips, bluebells and celandine bulbs to plant. It’s an informal event – just turn up and chat, especially if you were one of the many involved in the planting days. Bring a drink and some elevenses snacks to share, a camp chair plus shears, trowels and kneelers if you are up for planting 

Popularly known as Elizabeth’s Woodland in remembrance of Elizabeth Barraclough and to commemorate the platinum jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
