Solar Made Easy in the Lakes – Molly Hogg – Cumbria Action for Sustainability.

We’re supporting homeowners and small businesses to install solar PV, by providing independent advice and improving access to good installers. So far we have been working in Ambleside and Kendal – Now we hope to work closely with home owners in Keswick

Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS) is working with communities across Cumbria to help them to get solar panels installed on their roofs. Good solar photovoltaic (PV) installers are in huge demand right now, as everyone is searching for ways to cut their soaring energy bills. As a result, installers are finding it difficult to respond to enquiries for smaller jobs, especially in rural Cumbria. Working with dedicated community groups and town and parish councils in Ambleside, Kendal, Levens, Arnside, the Duddon Valley and Keswick, CAfS have found a solution to this problem. Come and talk to Molly Hogg, CAfS Low Carbon Communities Programme Manager, if:

  • You want to know more about whether solar panels are suitable for your roof
  • You want answers to frequently asked questions about solar PV
  • You want to find a local installer
